Pollinator Day

Sunday, September 24, 2017

Join the Zoo's Junior Conservation Committee and Zoo Teens to learn about the important role that pollinators play in our local environment while enjoying activities and stations throughout the Zoo!

Sunset Zoo's Junior Conservation Committee and Zoo Teens Proudly Present:
Pollinator Day!
The Mission
Join our Zoo Teen volunteers to learn about the importance of pollinators in our local environment.  These hard working animals help pollinate 75% of our flowering plants and nearly 75% of our crops. Without them, we would miss many fruits, veggies, chocolate, and coffee!

The Activities
Activities will be spread through the entire Zoo featuring monarchs, hummingbirds, honey bees, and local Kansas bees! There will also be a Face Painting for Conservation booth!

The Zoo's Junior Conservation Team and Zoo Teens
The Zoo's Junior Conservation Team and Zoo Teens come together each year to volunteer their time and knowledge to help out community learn more about the wild world around us!
