These events are a great way to meet new people over a good, science conversation and Tallgrass beer. The event starts at 7:00 p.m., but arrive early to secure a seat and enjoy some food and beverages. Everything takes place in the Tallgrass Taphouse’s Firkin’ Room.

January's Topic:
January's Science on Tap will feature Carly Aulicky. Carly is a PhD candidate in the Kansas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit at Kansas State University. Carly researches the lesser prairie-chicken, an iconic bird species famous for unique courtship displays and the “booming” noises made by specialized air sacs. Her work focuses on the factors determining where males decide to group together on the landscape and how this can influence conservation management for this imperiled species.
