Science on Tap

Wednesday, January 24, 2018

A monthly gathering at Manhattan's Tallgrass Tap House, featuring public discussion on engaging science topics.

All About The Event:
Science on Tap features a short introduction to the scientists research, time to engage with fellow attendees around the research presented, then the event wraps up with an conversational Q&A period. These events are a great way to meet new people over a good, science conversation and Tallgrass beer. The event starts at 7:00 p.m., but arrive early to secure a seat and enjoy some food and beverages. Everything takes place in the Tallgrass Taphouse’s Firkin’ Room.

January's Topic:
January’s event will be one not to miss as we will feature two scientists that are collaborating on their research and come from different fields. Dr. Ryan Hansen is an assistant professor at K-State in the Chemical Engineering Department, and Dr. Tom Platt is an assistant professor in the Division of Biology at K-State. Their Science on Tap will focus on how they are using micro and nano technologies to help unlock the invisible world of microbes.
