Sometimes the best part of a photo session is really not the final pretty poses…it’s the behind the scenes bloopers. The photos of real life. Of what it takes to get two growing, curious, energetic pups to play together…next to each other…in the same frame.
We know it sounds simple, but boy, it’s harder than you think.
We took the pups to a larger, fenced space for this week’s photos thinking we might have an easier time. However, their natural curiosity took over and the pair was instantly attracted to a game of trying to jump the log barrier that would allow them to run among some of our bird species. Based on the looks of our waterfowl, they were less than excited by this idea.
For the most part, we were successful in keeping the pair contained. However, we did have a few “escapes” which turned into a little chase – and even a lost shoe – to safely capture the “escapee.”
And if they weren't testing the boundaries of their play area (literally!), they were certainly curious about what the rest of us were doing. Keeper Christina had taken up a vantage point on the ground to capture a few photos...and both were certainly curious.
So much so, Matty found it necessary to help style Christina’s ponytail. What can we say, growing pups?
But never less, the pair continues to grow and show all signs of a healthy development.
Until next week friends!
