Calling all young animal enthusiasts to join Sunset Zoo for a weekly experience exploring one of the animals in our care.  Each week, participants will receive an activity kit complete with all the supplies needed and a Zoom link for a live connection with Zoo staff and the featured animal.

Each live, virtual connection will include a themed storytime, close up encounter with a live animal, and opportunities to ask questions and share stories.  Connections are supplemented with an activity kit that includes

  • Facts about the featured animal for parents to share with their child participant
  • Pictures of the featured animal
  • Themed art activity instructions and supplies
  • Instructions for a nature-based activity
  • Pretend play instructions
  • A recipe for a themed snack craft

Activity kits are available the Saturday prior to the live, virtual connection on Tuesday.  Activity kits are pickup only from Sunset Zoo’s gift shop, which is currently open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.  Activity kits are not required for the live, virtual connection, but highly encouraged as Zoo staff will review the contents to wrap up the connection.  Download a free, sample activity kit here.

So, are you ready to answer the call and join Sunset Zoo on this exciting adventure?
