We host a variety of community events each year including Earth Day in April, Wine in the Wild in June, Water Safari and Brew at the Zoo in September, and SPOOKtacular in October. We also have several special discounted admission days throughout the year including Mother's Day, Father's Day, Military Appreciation Day and more.

Party for the Planet: April 22, 2023

Join us for a celebration of our wonderful planet as we provide conservation education and all sorts of fun outdoor activities. 

Wine in the Wild: June 3, 2023

Stroll the Zoo's trails, sampling a variety of wines and food while enjoying live music and the Zoo's wild animal residents at this annual fundraiser. Host by the Friends of Sunset Zoo. 

Water Safari & Water Matters Day: August 5, 2023

A collaboration with the Konza Rotary to bring water play and education surrounding water conservation. 

Brew at the Zoo: September 22, 2023

Enjoy beer samples and awesome food while exploring Sunset Zoo, all to benefit the Friends of Sunset Zoo's Conservation Team. It's a fun way to save wildlife! 

SPOOKtacular: October 20-22, 2023

Trick-or-treat among the animals at this annual family-friendly Halloween event. 

Santa's Luminary Trail: November 25-26, 2023
